Bruised and frayed, made of tiny pieces of hand-dyed silk, shredded and appliqued using stray threads from the silk. It defines the daily physical abuse often found in this type of relationship. The bruises are never around the face but hidden, so they are deniable. Your senses become attuned to when they will happen and the moods preceding. you begin to unravel fray at the edges and hope this beating will be the last
